1. Custom Products
Books ordered through Book Print Broker are manufactured to order, according to the specifications chosen by the customer (format, paper, binding, print run, content). In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, custom-made products or products made to the consumer’s specifications are not subject to the 14-day right of withdrawal that applies to standard products.
2. Proof Approval Before Printing
Before production begins, a preview or digital proof of the file may be provided to the customer for approval. It is the customer’s responsibility to carefully check the layout, spelling, pagination, and color rendering before approving the print run. No claim will be accepted after approval for elements that were identifiable in the proof provided.
3. Manufacturing Defects
In the event of a proven manufacturing defect (a printing error not attributable to the file provided, faulty binding, damage occurring during production), the customer has 7 business days from receipt of the order to report it in writing to cmartin@bookprintbroker.com, along with photos of the defect found.
4. Handling of Valid Claims
After reviewing the claim, Book Print Broker offers a free additional print run, corresponding to the number of defective copies, on a future order of your choice with roughly similar technical specifications.
5. Shipping Damage
Any package received with visible damage must be reported to the carrier at the time of delivery (noted on the delivery slip), and to Book Print Broker within 48 hours of receipt.
6. Production Times
The announced production and delivery times are estimates. A reasonable delay beyond these times does not entitle the customer to compensation, unless otherwise explicitly agreed.
7. Order Cancellation
Any cancellation request must be submitted before production begins. Once production has started, the order can no longer be cancelled or refunded.
